At Proactive Computing we use only hardware and components acceptable to our high standards. Each piece of computer equipment must additionally pass our engineering tests and EU Portable Appliance Testing standards for Electrical Safety. All systems are designed bespoke (specification to match order). As such there are little or few ready made-up systems in stock. It is specifically the way we work to produce each solution to match the requirements of the user, or organisation requesting the equipment. As such all projects are timetabled and arranged by mutual agreement.

Currently we only use IBM PC compatible equipment. Printers, scanners and other components like modems can be supplied if needed. Quality donations of the above are warmly welcomed, however all donations are by mutual agreement only.

Unlike many large recycling centres we are a small non-profit company that aims to produce less but raise the quality of the work we do. All hard drives are securely wiped to Military standards, all components are checked by qualified engineers and all solutions are proof tested before dispatch.

At Proactive Computing we want our reputation to be formed on our standards, service and quality. Currently if shipping overseas no systems under Pentium III-800 GHz are used. Although older systems are perfectly adequate for most office / educational purposes it is our wish to allow towards future software proofing a little. It is better for us to ship one good system than to have to make several regular overseas upgrade shipments. Its also cheaper and more efficient for you the customer.
